Features of Nishijin Carbon

1. Capable of an astonishing variety of weaving patterns
The typical mass-produced carbon fiber textile weaves thread with a simple plain weave method. In contrast, Nishijin Carbon can weave an astonishing variety of beautiful patterns. These patterns are achieved using a Jacquard loom—the loom designed to weave the traditional Japanese textile known as Nishijin textile—specially modified to weave Nishijin Carbon textile.

2. Can be combined with other fabrics
Nishijin Carbon combines superior weaving technology with the flexibility that only small-scale workshops possess can achieve. Our superior technology and flexibility is why we are able to create complex fabrics by combining Nishijin Carbon with other fabrics. Producing these kinds of complex fabrics poses a severe challenge for conventional mass-production methods. In contrast, we are able to develop designs that combine vividly colored silk, lame yarn, glass fiber, and other fabrics in ways that no other fabric producer can.

3. Unlimited design possibilities
The ability to change weaving design and fiber combinations means that there are unlimited carbon fiber textile design possibilities. We are dedicated to working in close collaboration with the client on developing original carbon fiber textile designs based on what the client wants.
